Listen to the numerous benefits of an online newsletter.Newsletter accesses/readership
The number of accesses gets incremented each time someone views the newsletter. There are some people who view the newsletter often, so this number is not a good indication of readership.
The users/devices number represents the number of people who have accessed the newsletter, each of whom may have used two or more devices (computer, phone, tablet, etc.). People who may have accessed the newsletter more than once using a certain device are only counted once. Most people use only one device when accessing the newsletter, so this is a realistic but approximate indication of readership.
Example
Suppose Joan accesses the newsletter using her iPhone three times during the month. She also uses her Windows desktop computer to access it five more times. She will have contributed 8 accesses but only two users/devices.
NWC members who read the paper newsletter but use a computer to register for a luncheon or other event are not included in the users/devices count.
